Join Co-Founder Dr. Helena Esmonde PT, DPT, NCS and special guests Dr. Lauren Ziaks, PT, DPT, ATC, NCS and Dr. Jenna Tucker, PT, DPT, NCS, CBIS as they discuss and take questions about recent research on the topic of dysautonomia and concussion.
Dr. Lauren Ziaks is an Advanced Rehabilitation Clinician and Concussion Specialist at Intermountain Healthcare in the Salt Lake City area. Dr. Ziaks became a Neurological Clinical Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association in 2022 and obtained her Vestibular Competency through Duke University in 2021. She currently specializes in the rehabilitation of autonomic disorders (dysautonomia), vision and vestibular therapy for patients with protracted recovery post concussion / mTBI (> 3 weeks) and long-COVID. She has helped create protocols for Primitive Reflex Integration Therapy and dysautonomia as well as co-creating PhoenixConcussionRecovery.com to provide resources and support for clinicians treating concussions and their patients.
Dr. Jenna Tucker is a licensed physical therapist, neurological clinical specialist, and certified brain injury specialist. She is an assistant professor at Kean University in the School of Physical Therapy and practicing physical therapist at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation.
