Journal Club – Vestibular Migraine: Recent Updates (September 2026)

Join Co-Founder Dr. Helena Esmonde PT, DPT, NCS and special guest Dr. Maria Dolores Villar-Martinez as they discuss recent updates on the topic of vestibular migraine and answer viewer-submitted questions.

Dr María Dolores Villar-Martínez is a Consultant Neurologist with specialist expertise in headache medicine, neuro-otology and vestibular disorders. She has worked at several UK tertiary neuroscience centres and completed clinical research fellowships in Headache Medicine and Vestibular Disorders. As a PhD candidate supervised by Professors Peter Goadsby and Adolfo Bronstein, her research focuses on vestibular migraine, including its clinical presentation, symptom characterization and the language patients use to describe complex vestibular symptoms. She is the European representative of the EAN Residents and Fellows Section on the Neuro-Otology and Neuro-Ophthalmology Panel and received the 2026 American Headache Society Early Career Award for her contributions to vestibular migraine research.
