Journal Club – Vestibular Migraine: Recent Updates (September 2026)

Join Co-Founder Dr. Helena Esmonde PT, DPT, NCS and special guest Dr. Maria Villar-Martinez as they discuss recent updates on the topic of vestibular migraine and answer viewer-submitted questions.

Dr. Maria Villar-Martinez is a neurologist and clinical researcher specializing in vestibular migraine, headache disorders, and neuro-otology.  Originally from Spain, she obtained her MD from the University of Cádiz (2014) and completed her Neurology residency at the University of La Laguna, Canary Islands. During her training, Dr. Villar-Martinez developed a strong foundation in general neurology, movement disorders, and stroke, with a particular interest in the diagnosis and management of complex headache disorders. In 2019, she joined the Headache Group, where she focused on on understanding the pathophysiology of vestibular migraine, and headache-associated features, working alongside leading experts and mentors in the field with a holistic, multidisciplinary perspective.
