Is OBS safe for my computer?

We have vetted very carefully Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) to make sure it is safe on your computers and networks.  OBS is an open-source software which means that the source code is completely visible to everyone and each feature or change is fully review by the programming teams.  You can review the source code, changes, and comments on Microsoft GitHub here:  https://github.com/obsproject

Additionally, we have engaged with a 3rd party company MedISAO authorized by FDA for post-market surveillance to ensure that each update does not have any malicious software or components.  MedISAO also has proactive monitoring of all components and libraries in the event of a zero-day security event.
