Overview
We are excited to share our affordable and innovative vestibular technologies with the entire vestibular community–especially educators and researchers! We have developed a first of its kind program that benefits both clinicians and educators alike! Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Research Program

Status: Complete
In order for us to develop the most affordable and feature-rich set of infrared video goggles, we need to know what clinicians and researchers wanted most! Using 3D printing and years of technical experience, we built a basic version of infrared video goggles to research key usability issues, technical requirements, software compatibility, and required features. We collected and analyzed detailed survey data from our passionate users and this allowed us to design the next version to maximize the value to vestibular clinicians, researchers, and educators.
Step 2: Design & Prototyping

Status: Complete
After careful analysis of the survey data and consultation with top vestibular researchers, we started developing the new Insight Infrared Video Goggles from the ground up. Starting with basic sketches, we used rapid prototyping techniques like multi-filament 3D printers to iterate and perfect our design. Special consideration was taken at every step to reduce custom-made parts and uncommon materials so we could pass those savings to those who need it most—YOU!
Step 3: Regulatory

Status: Complete
Before our goggles are able to be legally distributed, they must pass all safety, performance, and related regulatory benchmarks. We have been FDA cleared as of November 2020!
Step 4: Manufacturing

Status: Complete
We have authorized the production of the first batch of Insight Infrared Video Goggles and they will arrive in two batches. The first batch will be in January 2021 and the second (larger) batch will be made available in February/March 2021. Swaps will be completed with the second larger batch to accommodate all of the clinicians at the same time.
Step 5: Program Approval

Status: In Progress
At the heart of our swap program is finding the vestibular education programs that are in need of infrared video goggles to integrate into their curriculum. We are developing a matching algorithm that will guarantee every research goggle will be connected with an eligible educational program in need. If we have more goggles than programs, then multiple goggles will be donated to each program. If there are less, then the programs that responded first will receive priority.
Step 6: Goggles Launch!

Status: In Progress (March – July 2021)
We will begin mailing the Insight Infrared Video Goggles to existing owners of the Insight Research Goggles in the order in which they were purchased. In order to be able to support all of the receiving institutions, we will be doing the replacements in batches of 100 to start. If we can handle more than that per week, we’ll increase as appropriate.
When your new goggles are ready to ship, a prepaid shipping label will be included in the box to send your research goggles back to Vestibular First. Our team will then test and refurbish as needed to make sure schools are receiving the most current version of research goggles and accessories.
And just like that–the vestibular community will finally have the necessary tools to train the next generation of vestibular clinicians with evidence-based best practices and technology!
