DESCRIPTION:Join Co-Founder Dr. Helena Esmonde PT\, DPT\, NCS and special guests Dr. Steven Broglio\, PhD\, ATC\, Dr. David Bruton\, Jr.\, PT\, DPT\, and Dr. Elizabeth Pieroth\, PsyD\, ABPP\, MPH as they hold a panel discussion and take live questions about recent research on the topic of concussion management. \nDr. Steven Broglio is a professor of Athletic Training and adjunct professor of Neurology and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Michigan.  Dr. Broglio is the director of the Michigan Concussion Center and the NeuroTrauma Research Laboratory His research has been supported by the National Athletic Trainers’ Research and Education Foundation\, the National Institutes of Health\, the National Collegiate Athletic Association\, and the Department of Defense. \nDr. David Bruton Jr. is a former athlete turned physical therapist\, who graduated from the University of Colorado in 2021. David was a former safety for the Denver Broncos for 7 years\, and 1 year with the Washington Football Team.  During his tenure with the Broncos he was a captain for 3 years and won Super Bowl 50.  After retirement\, David followed his heart towards a lifelong passion for the profession of physical therapy. \nDr. Elizabeth Pieroth is a Board Certified Clinical Neuropsychologist and is the Director of the Concussion Program at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush. She has been involved in the assessment of players in the National Hockey League since 1997 and is the Head Injury/Concussion specialist for the Chicago Bears\, Blackhawks\, White Sox\, Fire\, and the National Women’s Soccer League. He is also Co-Director of the NeuroVisual Medicine Institute’s Training Program\, recruiting and training optometrists across the country & world\, utilizing innovative optometry tools and knowledge to support growth of students’ practices as well as ultimately help BVD sufferers. Dr. Rosner is a retired Emergency Medicine Physician with more than 30 years of combined experience treating\, educating\, and researching in emergency medicine at level 1 and 2 facilities. \nDr. Debby Feinberg began practicing Optometry in 1983. Since 1995 Dr. Feinberg has been developing the field of NeuroVisual Medicine which is the optometric subspecialty that identifies and treats neurological / medical symptoms that originate directly or indirectly in the visual system. Dr. Feinberg has been performing pioneering work with Binocular Vision Dysfunction (BVD)\, a condition where a vision misalignment (frequently subtle) creates difficulties with the two eyes working together to create a single 3-dimensional image\, and difficulties with the two eyes following that image as it moves. In 2004.
