DESCRIPTION:This one-day immersive lab is designed for rehabilitation professionals seeking to build confidence and competency in essential vestibular skills. Through guided instruction and supervised practice\, participants will learn and refine hands-on techniques for vestibular assessment and intervention. The course emphasizes practical application\, clinical reasoning\, and skill development to support effective patient care. The day concludes with a competency check-off\, ensuring that each participant leaves with validated proficiency in the foundational vestibular rehab skills covered. \nThis in person lab and skills check follows the online series of modules. While this course can be a stand alone course\, It is highly recommended to complete all introductory modules before enrollment. Topics include vestibular anatomy\, physiology\, and nystagmus review; BPPV lecture and lab; atypical BPPV; updates in vestibular interventions and examination and management considerations for Ménière’s disease\, vestibular migraine\, and 3PD. She also serves as adjunct faculty at the University of Minnesota and Augustana University. Sara enjoys treating a wide range of vestibular disorders and balance impairments\, with a particular interest in vestibular migraine. She also works with Vestibular First as the Director of Education. She received her Competency Certification in Vestibular Rehabilitation from Emory University in Atlanta\, GA\, and the American Physical Therapy Association in 2009. Sara has been involved in leadership within the Vestibular Special Interest Group since 2010\, recently joined the Balance and Falls Special Interest Group\nleadership team\, and has served on the ANPT Telehealth Task Force. She teaches vestibular rehabilitation courses at the local\, national\, and international levels and has co-authored several studies advancing the field. \nRegister
